The Internal Medicine service provides high quality specialized care as an extension of your veterinarian's services. Our experienced and compassionate staff are here to help you with your pet's health care needs.
Because we are a 24-hour animal emergency facility, your pet will have 24-hour-a-day monitoring and care. Services provided at WVRC by the Internal Medicine department include

- Upper and lower GI tract
- Nasal cavity
- Respiratory tract
- Radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroid cats
- Examination and advanced imaging (CT scan) for neurologic conditions
On the 4th of July this Summer, I'd just made a long car trip up here from Missouri with my new owners and became very ill. Even though it was a holiday you were open and ready to help.
My new owners put their trust in everyone to do your best, no matter what my chances were. You set me up in my own private room, except for an occasional cat roomate, which wasn't too bad. You visited me anytime my owners were not around. You fed, hugged and played with me, which helped give me a reason to fight my illness. You told me how cute I was and kept me happy.
