There are a wide variety of heart diseases in animals ranging from "holes" in the heart to leaky valves to weak heart muscles. Heart disease is usually broken down into two large categories, congenital heart disease and acquired heart disease.
Congenital heart diseases are cardiac abnormalities that your pet has been born with. Acquired heart diseases are absent at birth, but develop as your pet grows older.
Here at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center our Board-certified Cardiologist, Dr. Shianne Koplitz, PhD, DACVIM (Cardiology), will help diagnose and treat your pet through a series of cardiac tests. Each test is designed to provide the cardiac specialist with specific information about your pet's heart health.

"We wanted to let you know, what wonderful treatment Mars and we received. Your staff were kind, supportive and as concerned for Mars as we were.
We would especially like to thank Tracy for the loving attention she gave Mars, he really thinks she is Special, as do we.
You should all be very proud of the services that you provide."
